I had no idea how BAD teething actually was until my baby starting going through it.
This is my first baby so I was in for a big surprise when him sleeping through the night completely stopped! My son use to sleep so good and once he started teething he was awake almost every hour at night! I literally felt like I was back in the newborn fog which sucked and my poor son was in so much pain, I felt so bad for him! I needed to find the best teething products for desperate parents to help my son and everyone else going through the same thing!
My son’s bottom teeth came in first and those were pretty bad but the two top front teeth seriously took SO long to pop through. I couldn’t believe babies could have teething pain and symptoms for literally months before seeing any swelling or teeth. I guess you live and you learn. New mom over here lol. I’ve heard that the molars are the worst so we will just have to wait and see.
Luckily, I’ve found some amazing remedies that help my son deal with the pain of teething which makes both of us feel better.
I’ve made a list of the best teething products for desperate parents that really helped for my baby and hopefully will bring some relief to your little one!
Let’s jump into this list!
1. Nuby Natural Teething Gel:
This teething gel is natural and made with clove oil so it really numbs the gums and seriously works INSTANTLY! Plus I love the fact that it’s natural and not bad for my baby. It also comes wit a silicone massaging brush for their gums which is awesome. This is my go to for bad teething.
2. Silicone Teething Necklace & Bracelet for Mom
These things are amazing! I love the necklace for when we are out and about and my son is fussy and teething. I wear it and he goes to town with this thing. It keeps him busy and happy. The bracelet is great because it’s easy for my son to hold it and chew on himself. I think the size of the silicone beads are perfect for them to chew on and it makes their gums feel so much better.
3. Freezer Teething Toys
Freezer teething toys are a must for teething babies. Ice cold teething toys work so well at numbing sore and swollen gums. These 3 toys worked really good for my son. He likes when you switch them up because he gets tired of one after a while. Life saver for sure!
4. Amber Teething Necklace
I would have never bought one of these because I didn’t know much about them but I got one for my baby shower and figured I should use it! Now, I’m not going to lie and say I saw a huge difference right away when my son wore the necklace but he seemed a more calm when he had it on so on the bad days I would keep the necklace on him all day.
5. Organic Teething biscuits
There is something about that crunch that teething babies love. I give my son on of these and he completely calms down. It must feel good on their gums and taste good because my son loves these. I always have a pack in my diaper bag. Plus they are organic!
6. Silicone Banana Toothbrush
I have heard people talk about this banana toothbrush for a while before I actually gave in and bought one. I was desperate for something to help my teething baby. He loved it! Those little handles made it super easy for him to hold and chew away on the silicone brush. He loves it so I really recommend it!
7. Infant Motrin Concentrated
Last but not least, the big guns. This is a last resort for night times but very necessary when the time comes. I’ve tried baby Tylenol but this stuff seems to work way better. It is the best life saver for late night teething pain. And it helps them sleep and get some much needed rest.
I know this seems super random but my son absolutely loves chewing on drawstrings from a sweatshirt or sweatpants. Seriously try it because it will probably work for you too! lol
What didn’t work for us:
Frozen fruit chew toy
Frozen wet rag
Wooden teething ring
I hope these products help your baby get some relief like they did for my baby!
